Cena za najlepší dokumentárny film pre Trou de Fer je z Istanbulu

Dokumentárny film o dobrodružnom prechode najťažším kaňonom sveta, film o jedinečnom športovom výkone slovenských a českých kaňonistov - „Trou de Fer - Železná diera" v réžii Pavla Barabáša, získal na Medzinárodnom festivale športového filmu v Istanbule (1st Istanbul International FICTS Festival), Cenu za najlepší dokumentárny film. Festival je súťažnou prehliadkou filmov so športovou tematikou, ktorý sa koná v stosiedmich krajinách na celom svete. Tento rok sa uskutočnil v dňoch 23.-25.9.2011 v Istanbule. more

Hlboká nad Vltavou, 18. september 2011. Cieľom 8. ročníka Medzinárodného filmového festivalu Voda, more, oceány 2011, ktorý sa konal v čase od 16. do 18. septembra, je prezentovať a oceniť filmové diela zaoberajúce sa svetom sladkých i slaných vôd, podnecovať ich tvorbu v medzinárodnom kontexte a rozširovať tak poznanie ľudí a ich záujem o problematiku ochrany tejto oblasti životného prostredia a diania vo svete odohrávajúcom sa navôkol, či už pod vodou, na hladine, na brehoch vodných tokov a jazier, alebo v prímorských oblastiach na celej planéte. more

Zakopane, 11. september 2011 - Dokumentárny film Pavla Barabáša o zdolaní jedného z najťažších kaňonov sveta: Trou de Fer - Železná diera, získal na 7. ročníku Medzinárodného festivalu horského filmu v poľskom Zakopanom, Cenu diváka. Hlavnú cenu Grand Prix udelila medzinárodná porota americkému dokumentu 180 stupňov na juh od režiséra Chrisa Malloya. Zaujímavosťou je, že aj ostatné ocenené filmy sú z americkej a francúzskej produkcie. more

Trento, 5. máj 2011. Pavol Barabáš received the GRAND PRIZE 2011 of the International Alliance for Mountain Film at the International Film Festival in Trento. This prestigious award was agreed by a jury composed of representatives of twenty international film festivals of seventeen countries worldwide in Europe, Asia, North and South America, headed by the president of the Alliance - Mrs. Mireille Chiocca. more

Documentary film AMAZONIA VERTICAL by Slovak filmmaker Pavol Barabáš won two prizes at Fifth International Mountain Film Festival in Bulgarian town Sliven.
The festival is organized by the municipality of Sliven and the Association “International Mountain Film Festival”.
The purpose of this festival is to encourage production of mountain films and to contribute to their development by attracting people’s attention to mountains, mountaineering and extreme sports, outdoor activities, the way of life enjoyed by mountain people and the preservation of mountain nature. more
Výstava v Prievidzi predstavila dielo Pavla Barabáša

Vernisáž prezentácie diela Pavla Barabáša sa za prítomnosti autora uskutočnila 25. mája v Galérii Regionart v Prievidzii. Koncepcia výstavy je zameraná na autorove fotografie, filmy a artefakty zo siedmich kontinentov sveta, akými sú budhistické motliteblé knihy z kráľovstva Mustang, hlinené tanieriky z pier žien etiópskeho kmeňa Mursi, rôzne druhy novoguinejských oštepov, či dokonca vysušená húsenica - pokrm afrických Pygmejov. Sprievodnými podujatám výstavy je premietanie dvanástich dokumentárnych filmov Pavla Barabáša. Výstava potvrvá do 20. júna. more

Vitoria Gasteiz, December, 21st - Yesterday, Carstensz - The Seventh Summit has been awarded by international jury at Mendi Film Festival. The Jury appreciated how the film is dealing with the environmental and ecology subject, they decided to award this film The Best Mountain, Environmental and Ecology Film. The documentarist, Paul Dieffley was awarded main prize for his film Pinnacle.
